The Cottage, (a Reva Shiner Comedy Award Finalist) was presented in the fall of 2017 by Manhattan Theatre Club with Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) directing, and is in development for an upcoming commercial production in New York. (“Laugh Out Loud!” – The NY Times). The Cottage has enjoyed critically acclaimed productions all over the United States and is currently in development for a commercial production in New York. REVIEWS.

The Cottage is a rollicking farce inspired by the works of Noel Coward. Set in the English countryside in 1923, this tale of sex, betrayal and, oh yes, love, unfolds when Sylvia Van Kipness decides to expose her love affair to her husband and her lover’s wife. The true meanings of fate, identity and marriage are called into question as a surprising, hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculous– potentially murderous– romantic comedy.

“The plays of Noel Coward are a fascinating case in point, and “The Cottage,” a comedy written by Sandy Rustin — is both a send-up and update of the Coward oeuvre. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters in a comedy is the answer to the question: “Is it funny?” I’m happy to say the depiction of English upper crust in “The Cottage,” gets funnier and funnier as you go, full of bravura performances and worthy of multiple bravos and bravas.”   – The Huffington Post
