Urbanites is the heartwarming and funny story of one significant day in Jess Hoffman’s life. Jess is a modern young mother on the cusp of change, bidding farewell to New York City while anticipating the birth of her second child. In a love letter film to the melting pot of the NYC experience, Jess spends the day before her Upper West Side apartment is sold on an unintentional tour through her physical, emotional, and spiritual life in New York City. Encountering the people and places that exemplify the NY experience, while managing her own precarious pregnancy, Jess spends 24 hours coming to the conclusion that there truly is, “No Place Like Home.”
